Dr. Teryl ann Rosch, Executive Director

Dr. Teryl ann Rosch has been Executive Director of the Chicago Education Alliance since its creation in 1996 and wrote the initial grant to the Ford Foundation.Teryl ann Rosch, Ph.D, has more than 25 years of experience in higher education administration and school reform. She has raised annually more than $1.5 million to support education improvement efforts in Chicago public schools over the past six years. She earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies for Loyola University of Chicago, and her Master's and Bachelor's degrees from DePaul University. In addition to her professional work in collaborative leadership, Dr. Rosch's research focuses on educational leadership and policy, faculty development and institutional culture.

Dr. Rosch is also a tenured faculty member in the Administration and Supervision Department of the College of Education at Roosevelt University.


John MacDougall, Associate Director

John MacDougall has been with the Chicago Education Alliance since its creation in 1996, first as Assistant Director, then becoming Associate Director in 1998. He has an MA in elementary education from Roosevelt Unviersity and studied at the University of Chicago and Ohio State Unviersity. He is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating educational grant projects working with the Chicago Public School. His duties include budgeting, personnel hiring and , supervision and general administration of projects, as well as grant writing and reporting. He serves as technology coordinator and trainer for CEA projects and staff, as well as web site developer for collaborative projects. John MacDougall is a certified teacher in Illinois and has taught classes in social studies using technology for gifted 7th and 8th graders for the Chicago Public Schools for the past ten years, and trains teachers in the use of computer technology in the classroom.

 

 


Jeanne Barnas, Assistant Director

Jeanne Barnas has been Assistant Director of the Chicago Education Alliance since 2000. She serves as coordinator of meetings and events, as well as editor of the CEA newsletter (click on the What's New icon to the left to see current and earlier CEA newsletters).

 

  Amanda Mendez has been with the Chicago Education Alliance since our inception. She serves as coordinator of meetings and events for the Executive Director.
