The Chicago Education Alliance (CEA) is a partnership of Chicago area universities dedicated to the improvement of K-16 education. The CEA includes eleven major universities, the City Colleges of Chicago, the Chicago Public Schools, other education organizations, community agencies and business.

The CEA develops and implements new initiatives in conjunction with our multiple partners.

Depending upon the nature of the effort, CEA roles include:

  • a coordinating agency role in developing and implementing multiple school-university initiatives;
  • an overseeing role in promoting policy change and collaborative research;
  • a supporting role in mobilizing support for existing initiatives led by other agencies; and,
  • an advocacy role in supporting systemic reform in K - 16 education.

The CEA has also established a Dollars for Scholars fund that provides scholarships for Chicago public school students in our network schools.
